With parents that co-founded Greenpeace, Emily Hunter’s quest to make this world environmentally friendly and sustainable for future generations is in her blood. In 2007 she took part on a Sea Shepherd campaign to try to help stop illegal whaling in Antarctica. Packed with her high-8 camera and her passions for saving the world, she joined the marine conservation organization, Sea Shepherd, and made a short video that exposed people to an insiders look at environmental activism. Everyone has heard what governments, officials and bureaucrats have thought of the issues, but she wanted to stray from that and put the camera on individuals that are on the front lines, those standing in the line of danger for causes they believe are worth risking their lives over. As a student of journalism, she hopes to expand the global agenda by taking people into an unknown world – the activists’ world - and show everyone the events that happen from the eyes of an activist – from an insider.
